John Cropley
New York/New England Bureau Chief
John Cropley is a New York City native and a longtime resident of upstate New York. He was a newspaper reporter and editor for 33 years, 29 of them at The Daily Gazette in Schenectady, where he most recently reported local business news. In his spare time, Cropley is an avid photographer and fair-weather bicyclist. He and his wife have one adult son and share their home with two young dogs.
