When not covering the pandemic, he covered energy and climate, including a major investigation into the cryptocurrency industry in rural Appalachia. More recently, Vincent was a science, health, tech and energy reporter for Hearst Media Connecticut. Before he became a reporter, Vincent used to be paid to hike as a utility forester in California.
