ER22-1640
FERC accepted MISO’s second try at Order 2222 compliance, allowing MISO time to prepare through mid-2029 before it fully accepts aggregators of distributed energy resources into its markets in 2030.
FERC said MISO didn’t justify the need for an additional five-year gap between completion of its new market platform in 2024 and the first DER aggregation registrations in late 2029.
After stakeholder criticisms, MISO is insisting before FERC that it’s appropriate to take until 2030 to open its markets to aggregators of DERs.
