FERC upheld its July dismissal of a complaint by Hecate Energy that Central Hudson and NYISO delayed its 20-MW solar generation project in Greene County, N.Y.

MISO and SPP said a weak economic showing isn’t a dealbreaker to build transmission projects accommodating generation in their jammed interconnection queues.

MISO staff said project withdrawals from its record-setting 150-GW interconnection queue are imminent.

MISO's interconnection queue currently stands at a record-breaking 153 GW after the RTO processed 2021 applicants. 

A cycle of generation projects in MISO’s Central planning region has accrued a whopping $2 billion in upgrades in order to connect to the transmission system. 

MISO will make a fourth-quarter filing to slim its interconnection queue timeline from about 505 days to a single year.

SPP released a comprehensive report on the week of February's severe winter storm, calling it the most operationally challenging week in its 80-year history.

PJM stakeholders affirmed OA language from the RTO’s mitigation proposal endorsed in February to avoid critical infrastructure projects.

Renewable developers said SPP's plan to resolve a four-year backlog of GI requests by 2024 sets an example for the other RTOs to follow.
