MISO announced that it saved its membership approximately $5 billion in 2023 by providing a resource sharing pool for utilities.

MISO said it created more than $4 billion in value for its members during 2022, with most of the savings related to its large geographic footprint.

MISO said its members collectively saved about $3.5 billion in 2020 for choosing RTO membership over going it alone on the grid.

MISO saved members between $3.2 billion and $4 billion over the course of 2019, according to the RTO's annual Value Proposition study.

MISO estimates that it delivered between $3.2 billion and $3.9 billion in benefits to its members in 2018.

MISO says it saved its members upward of $3 billion last year, but some stakeholders are questioning whether the RTO is overstating some of its benefits.
