Ayla Burnett has a background in investigative and beat reporting covering food systems, climate change and environmental justice in the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area. She has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Oregon and a master's degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. Ayla grew up in Portland, Oregon, and rural Washington state, and in her spare time, she enjoys being in the forest, writing poetry and DJ'ing for a local alternative radio station. She currently resides in San Francisco.
