Ken Sands
Senior Vice President
Ken was a newspaper reporter and editor in Spokane, Wash., before moving to Washington, D.C., to be executive editor of Congressional Quarterly. He then was one of the founding editors of Bloomberg Government, and later was online general manager of The Chronicle of Higher Education. He was an early leader of web journalism beginning in the 1990s, and newsrooms he led earned recognition from multiple journalism organizations, including the general excellence award from the Online News Association. He earned a journalism degree from the University of Oregon. He can be seen on hiking trails throughout the D.C. area sporting an Oregon Ducks hat.
