Future participants in SPP’s RTO expansion into the Western Interconnection have affirmed their support to meet the April 1 go-live deadline with a unanimous vote of support.
SPP filed bylaw amendments at FERC to place seven Western entities under its tariff that, if approved, will make the RTO the first grid operator with markets in both major interconnections.
CAISO moved a step closer to meeting Order 845 requirements when FERC accepted most Tariff revisions included in a second compliance filing.
FERC largely approved the Order 845 compliance filings for CAISO, NYISO and a handful of utilities, though none of the entities received perfect marks.
